Black-Billed Magpie:

Black-Billed Magpies are highly intelligent corvids found all throughout North America. On cloudy days, they appear merely black and white. But, when the sun comes out, their black feathers turn out to be iridescent shades of blue and green. They are medium-sized birds, slightly larger than a blue jay, and slightly smaller than a crow. Black-Billed Magpies are extremely social birds, and tend to build nests close together in sheltered groves and rocks. Both male and female magpies take part in raising their young throughout the spring and summer.
