I went airsofting the other day. Its been a long time, almost a year since the last time I airsofted. It had also been the first time I’de been in a group of people numbering more than 12 in a long time. It was outdoors, and since its airsoft we were spaced out a decent amount and I put up a neck gaiter when I was near other people.

A few days ago, an elderly neighbor passed away. Today, while my father and I were walking the dog, we saw the neighbor’s children pull up in front of the house. My father took it upon himself to express our condolences. In a moment where it could have felt very lonely for the family left behind, he extended a hand of friendship, and with those few words, he let them know that they weren’t alone.

Thank you, God

for the solace of a dog

That warm face, on a cold winter day

That bundle of fur when you need a hug

And most importantly, for that pure unbridled joy

at something so simple as a house guest

or the prospect of a walk.

Thank you God, for the dog.

Tech.

What a wonderful gift to humanity

enabling us to do countless things

things that we otherwise wouldn’t be able to do.

Like go to the moon.

But some times I hate it to heck.

Keeping us busy with short circuits and program errors

Tech support who keep telling us its our fault and not the machine

But we all know they are wrong…

We all know whose side THEY are on

So I will make this brief since I know you are busy,

 some days, all I ask,

Is that my gaming computer would actually run games at the 60 fps I know it is capable of, AND WHAT IT WAS MADE TO DO.

Thanks for listening,

and good luck to you too.

"I pledge allegiance to the flag

Of the united states of division.

And too the tribalness for which it stands

One nation, under gossip, with

Frivolity and injustice for all."

Is this more accurate at the moment?
