Slowly it crept
becoming softer
hardly noticed
time flowed on
silence grew unnoticed
Life continued, but
with less color
the rainbow growing faint
edges disapearing
a shadow of itself
Yet it was not noticed
or missed, though life
less vibrant
Suddenly a change came
with clicks, scratches, and pops
Whispered voice heard
the sound of a page turning
A fan spinning and curtain flapping
voices of birds, high and loud
As if the rainbow were suddenly bright
