‘Tis a season of stress

Holidays fast approaching

Students anxiously await the break

Teachers even more in need of a break

Traffic and shoppers and gifts

Needed for friends, family, perhaps colleagues.

Work and who will cover for the holiday.

All contribute to the stress, the anxiety

Deadlines approach adding yet more

Too much to do and no time for it

Mind balking, refusing to take any more

Yet life goes on, the pace ever crazier

Needs of everyone around seemingly insurmountable

Pause a moment...

A lot to ask, but needed

Time to breathe,

to shake out limbs,

to taste the air again,

to renew spirits

And, perhaps to dream...

A little dream.

No time for the big ones.

Still the air and the dream are enough

To face the chaos once more.
