Have you ever had a moment (or even days) when your creative juices not only stopped flowing, they couldn't be found? Most writers have. Indeed, it sometimes happens with annoying regularity. Writers sometimes go to great lengths to overcome the condition. Some of our tricks are simply ways to distract the mind so that it can unwind itself and the juices start flowing. For me, I often go do something physical - a workout in the pool or a half day of hard skiing. When I return, I can work again.

But, sometimes it is more challenging. Some writers retreat into alcohol or other substances. Unfortunately, that does not work over time and it does more damage than it assists. Some give up on writing all together. That is a loss for us all.

Here is another choice - do something silly with your writing. What follows is a set of photos of some dice. These dice are not for gambling or Yahtze. Instead they show images. Those images represent settings, characters, or actions. We took some random roles of the dice, which are presented here, as starters for stories. Your challenge is to use the images in any order you wish and create a silly, or perhaps not so silly, story from the images you see.

Interpret them in any way you like. Create something fun, And post it here.
