sheltered from above

yet safe from enemies below

a Prince enjoyed the morning

Stretching, as if waking

from a morning nap,

he surveyed the surroundings

confident of his safety

No shaking, no scurrying

just calm observation

of his realm, no fear of danger,

calmly walking the parapet

He is aware, but relaxed

confident in his perch

watching with retreat prepared

but not needed
