The day seems gloomy

but it isn’t, only a light rain

gentle even with small drops

warm in a light wind

Animals sheltering, though

occasionally seen looking out

from bushes and trees

not from fear, from curiosity

Flowers, spectacular in display

purples, yellows dominating

whites and pinks, and reds abound

together creating a living rainbow

Rain, so gentle and warm

encouraging the show

flowers responding in kind

colors vibrant and clear

Lady bugs enjoying

puddles in the fronds

stalks standing strong and tall

no need to bend or hide from storm
