Stillness

Calm and quiet

As I walked the other day,

Leaves swirled around me

Wishing me on my way

I felt a calm come over me

And I hoped that it would stay

I filled my lungs with air

And my mind with care

I try to mind the moments,

Even though life isn’t always fair
